Recently, COFCO Agriculture Industrial Investment Fund (“COFCO Fund”) and CCB International Asset Management Co., Ltd. (“CCBI”), two leading private equity funds in China, invested in an agricultural enterprise in Shaanxi Province. COFCO Fund is an agricultural industrial private equity fund subordinated to COFCO Group, and CCBI is an investment platform subordinated to CCB International (Holdings) Limited. The target enterprise intended to list in Hong Kong.
Among this transaction, Silkroad represented these two investors as the Chinese counsel and the Sidley Austin LLP the offshore counsel.
